This mini sheet was
issued by Post Modern, a local post office, operating in Dresden including the
"Erzgebirge" area (Saxony). This region is known for their fine art
products made by wood for Advent and Christmas. The products are a very nice
unique art work and are appreciated worldwide.
To support this local art work and the Post Modern issued this stamp sheet
printed in Litho on the wood material (pine-wood). The stamp motive is a
shaving tree. The text on the stamp sheet says: "There is probably nothing
that a Saxon can`t build out of wood". The bottom line says: German's
first wood stamp is coming from Dresden.
