The issue of postage stamp “Medjugorje 2012” is dedicated to one of European’s largest Marian shrines, which is visited every year by millions of pilgrims. On 25th June 1981, six young people from Herzegovinian parish Medjugorje on the hill Crnica, on the part called Podbrdo (Apparition HIll), had an encounter with the woman, who they recognized as Our Lady. They were: Ivanka Ivankovic, Mirjana Dragicevic, Vicka Ivankovic, Ivan Dragicevic, Marija Pavlovic and Jakov Colo. From that day till today, the Our Lady calls mankind on peace between the God and man, to peace between people.
There are three special places in Medjugorje. The parish church dedicated to the patron of pilgrims - St. Jacob, the Apparition Hill, where the visionaries first testified about encounter with the Lady and the Cross Mountain, the place of worshiping of Christ’s passion and devotion to the Way of the Cross. 
Although the Church hasn’t given its opinion on apparitions, many believers who pilgrimages to Our Lady receive the attention and pastoral care of priests. In early 2010, the International Investigation Commission on Medjugorje at the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith at the Vatican was established. The members of the Commission are cardinals, bishops and experts who will work on a confidential basis and the results of the study will be submitted to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.         

Croatian post Ltd. Mostar has issued commemorative postage stamp in sheet of 8 stamps, maximum card, postmark and the first day cover. The stamp is protected with the INFRAREDESIGN security, gilts unique protection, which can be seen only with the IR camera.

INFRAREDESIGN invention is unique in the world, it allows control of visible - invisible information, creation of double hidden image, and superior protection against counterfeiting.

This invention extends the field of design from vsible (400-700nm) to near infrared (700-1000 nm).

The method of work is such that the two images merge into a  single one coded image- INFRAREDESIGN, of which one is visible in daylight, and other “hidden immage” (with the unlimited number of colors and hues; hidden image, portrait, text, vector,

security code) is visible using infrared camera.

The biggest value and distinction from all the other methods is that the implementation of this method doesn’t involve costly production; it’s easily identified and can be implemented in all existing designing solutions, on different printed materials (paper,

canvas, textile, leather, ceramic, glass, metal, plastic) and techniques (digital printing, dry toner, inkjet printing, silk printing, offset printing, flexo printing, with process or spot inks).

INFRAREDESIGN patent is awarded with over 50 prizes from US across Europe (London, Geneve, Moscow) to Asia. and

Examples are on documents, securities, packaging.

This new way of protection, design and marketing has been tested and applied to various materials and products in printing technology - all kinds of packaging, documents, securities, books, newspapers, information technology, textile products, protection of material in complete, partial print or protection on clothing tags, leather

industry, artworks.

It’s performed with all printing techniques (digital printing, dry toner, inkjet printing, silk printing, offset printing, intaglio) without additional procedures and costs. It’s printed with standard process CMYK colors. Even the pressman himself doesn’t need to know that print contains the hidden infrared message. Evidence for this is precisely in high circulation newspaper printing, where some expensive protective spot colors could not be used. It is possible to print in spot colors when extra protection is needed (banknotes), inks for textile and leather or for example fine arts paintings. Printing is possible on unlimited sizes and formats as opposed to other security techniques. Printing is possible on various materials: paper, canvas, textile, leather, ceramic, glass,

metal, plastic.

In graphics created with INFRAREDESIGN method the two images are combined: one is visible in daylight (400-700 nm) and the other completely independent, visible in the infrared part of the spectrum (700-1000 nm). These independent graphics can be images, text, vector and pixel graphics in an unlimited range of colors and hues.

Creations of invisible security elements are realized in double images, double portraits, typography, security graphics. In the example of double portrait in the daylight we see face in “en face” position and in the infrared we see face in profile. Examples are in pdf presentation in attachment.

INFRAREDESIGN is not possible to copy - scan, and therefore is impossible to reproduce it. When passed through RGB system the IRD information is lost.

It’s verified quickly and easily with infrared camera. We have designed ZRGB cameras with the option of two simultaneous recordings: infrared and visible to the human eye. This is new because (previously) we couldn’t reinterpret infrared graphics.

This is also the content of the new patent, which we have just registered. The simple and quick validation is possible also with camera with infrared source (video camera night view, security cameras).
